Awaken Lion NY x HSK Performance for Lucky Rice at World Trade Center, Manhattan, NY 9/26/2019.
The history of lion dance originated as a performance in the villages of China and as a form of entertainment to the emperor. Lion dance is performed during the Lunar New Year, birthdays, weddings, business grand openings, and various other special celebrations.
Awaken Lion was established in 2018 in Flushing, Queens, New York City. Comprised of long-time students of lion dancing, the group has expanded to continue to instill an appreciation for the cultural art of lion dance through providing performances to the community as well as educating and hosting workshops for local youth.

LovesMeZine is an annual Valentines Day zine featuring work exclusively by queer/trans/nb/women artists of color.
I contributed non-fiction prose to volume II & III of LovesMeZine. I wrote the stories of my diaspora family, traveling from Mainland China, to Korea, to Taiwan, to the United States over the span of 4 generations. I explore the idea of multiplicitous existences, occupying many spaces while speaking in many tongues.
Family Style: An AAPI Food Anthology
Family Style is an anthology illustration publication by Asian and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) creators to share the lesser-known histories behind AAPI foods.
I am the child of Chinese Korean immigrants, and my parents themselves are children of immigrants as well. It is difficult as a child of diaspora to learn about my heritage and grow an appreciation and love for the cultures and foods that shaped my family history. For Family Style, I illustrated and wrote about 짜장면 jjajangmyeon, a dish that encapsulates the story of Chinese people in Korea post Cultural Revolution & Korean War. This is the dish that my immigrant family centered their business and livelihood around, and a dish that I hold dear to my heart.
